In a nutshell:  This Evidence Update identifies new evidence (from September 2010 to 8 October 2012) that is relevant to, and may have a potential impact on,  NICE Clinical Guideline 124 ‘The management of hip fractures in adults’ (2011).  There are evidence updates in the following key areas:- imaging options in occult hip fracture, timing of surgery, analgesia, surgical procedures and mobilisation strategies
