Pioneering hip and stem cell surgery

In a nutshell:  Doctors and researchers at Southampton University have conducted their first hip surgery with a 3D printed implant and bone stem cell graft.  The bone stem cells graft aspect is part of their translational research programme and should encourage bone regeneration behind and around the implant.  The implant has been designed around a CT scan of the patient.
