In a nutshell:  NICE has developed a Medtech Innovation Briefing (MIB) for the OSCAR 3 device which is used for removing polymethylmethacrylate bone cement during joint revisions, and for cutting and removing bone in orthopaedic applications. This is not formal guidance but the briefing critically reviews the strengths and weaknesses of the relevant evidence for its use.
